Sam White is a Australian actor, director and musician from Sydney. He was Raised and born the Australia’s Gold Coast where he grew up in the surfing town known as ” Surfers Paradise”. With his Father a local anaesthesiologist and Mother a nurse, Sam had no intention of following a carrier in the medical field. It was driving past the nearby Village Roadshow sound-stages that had Sam knowing his path very from very early on. The Village Roadshow back-lot gave Sam the perfect environment to spend considerable time working on big budget film sets in Australia’s leading overseas filming location for Hollywood feature films and TV series in production.
It was around this time when Sam’s music carrier started at the age of 13 when he set out as professional DJ for weddings and parties. By the age of 16 he was producing electronic dance music which had air play on the local stations and soon after hosting his own chart radio show on Radio Metro.
Sam excelled in secondary school film and television. He produced his first film “Larmor Lament” in his final year at high school. Sam’s producing skills could be scene at the age of 16 and while filming “Lamor Lament” where he pursued local council and gain full permission to block off the main street of the town, (stopping traffic for 10 mins) so the student project could film the shot that Sam visioned after not excepting the school driveway could make do. Sam graduated in 2005 with a diploma of screen from The Queensland School of Film and Television followed by an internship at NINE NETWORK Television. He then went on to co-produce two reality series for distribution in the United Kingdom. In 2010, Sam discovered he had a natural flair for acting. With his performance side now begining to sprout. Sam proceeded to study at The Australian Film and Television Academy for two years. In 2011, Sam commenced a year with Emmy awarding winning US casting director Tom McSweeney where he connected with the craft of acting. Very quickly he began to land roles in television and feature films with leading roles in four short films and two small roles in US feature films.
In 2002 Sam and recorded his first country music EP with band faded star and continued to pursue writing songs in the country music genre until band member and close high school friend Chad Dakar Medinski passed away in 2008.
In 2014 Sam wrote directed and produced “People you May Know” a short film based on the dangers of social media. He also worked as as second unit director on feature film “LadyKiller. Signing for an acting role in the TV series The Actors Space in 2014, Sam has spent time in Nashville Tennessee, directing a feature film whilst working with local country artists on concept music videos. Towards the end of 2014 , Sam stared along side Chris Noth ( Sex In The City ) in a international marketing campaign for Chivas Regal scotch whisky. In August 2014, Ray Scotts “Drinkin’ Beer” a music video Sam directed and conceptualised topped the country charts and was featured in Rolling Stone as number 18 as the top 25 best country songs of 2014. While in Nashville he spent time composing and writing songs with producer Dave Goodwin and artist Lexi Wyman.
In 2015 Sam bas been working on his first solo album release and is rumoured to be staring in an upcoming feature film about EDM and the music industry life style.
